No they won't. If they see you walking around with a beer bottle they'll ask you to put it in a cup. They don't care anymore what's in your ice chest like they did 5+ years ago.

The biggest problem all these haters have on the Grove is they go in acting like douchebags and get mad that they get treated that way back.

Go in with a good attitude and don't get butthurt when you get ragged on for being from the opposing team. Be able to take a heckle just as much as you heckle other teams. Sometimes if you go by an Ole Miss tent and let them know it's your first time in the Grove and ask about it they'll invite you to hang out and have a drink and some food. Just don't go in being an arse.

My biggest issue with the grove to me is if you don't know exactly where you're going in the sea of tents, it's nearly impossible to find your way around. I've been there countless times (I'm from Memphis, have a ton of people I grew up with who are Ole Miss people). Every time I'd go to a game in Oxford when I was in town, I'd get the "our tent is a red Ole Miss tent off the walk of champions." Yeah, no kidding the entirety of the grove tailgating is off the walk of champions, and they're almost all Ole Miss tents

Why not just have them drop you a pin so you can find it easier?

The Grove is way too damn compact, and just have a catheter inserted prior to going because you will not find a bathroom line with a wait time of less than 1 hour.

Do you even Hotty Toddy Potty? But seriously even those can be long. The Union is outrageous until you go upstairs. Hume Hall (math building) is always open for bathrooms and a go to to avoid that because most people don’t know it’s open

Almost every academic building is open for restroom use, you just can't bring drinks in them.

They did try to make it a little easier to locate tents by naming the walkways but you have to know where you are to be able to tell people where to go. The thing I hate is the new barricade policy along the walk of champions. Makes it a lot harder to get to those tents right off the walk.

If you don't like the Grove, go to the Circle. If you don't like that, literally go to any plot of grass anywhere on campus and you can tailgate. I'm pretty sure you can even have a grill if you're not in the Grove or Circle.

Any suggestions on what to expect?

Honestly I’m just glad you msu fans have evolved into using actual bathrooms.

When I started going to Ole Miss tailagtes, "dropping a pin" didn't exist. This didn't have GPS and satellite technology. It barely had text messaging

The Grove is one of my favorite CFB experiences, took my father and son to the Texas/Ole Miss game in '12.

Arrive at good two hours before kick and make sure to see the team roll through the arch for the Walk of Champions. I've done all of the blue bloods and a scattering of other known pre game campus elites, but for a traditionally avg program Ole Miss just does it right.

However, on a big game, despite the university’s willingness to accommodate its fans, it’s arguably the best game day atmosphere and experience in football.

If you find grossly over served 50 year old men and woman listening to awful music at a deafening levels, dancing to Soulja Boy, or the drunk coonassing stirring the jambalaya while ash’ing his cig all in the pot a good atmosphere, then yea. Not to mention it’s usually 95+ degrees and you have swamp arse for the next 12 hours.
