Not sure what to make of this one...on paper, Ole Miss should win pretty comfortably, but that's on paper. Georgia Tech is not going to be the pushover they were when we played them last year. Plus, the Ole Miss running game hasn't really gotten going. I do believe the Rebs have their best defense since 2015. We will see.
Ole Miss 28
Georgia Tech 17

I think OM wins but GT covers. Tech appears to have it together decently on offense for the first time in a while. They should have beaten Louisville. Kinda think it will be similar to the Tulane game, close for three quarters and then OM pulls away late.

I’ll take it. I took the 18.5 points

I think we are better by a decent amount than Georgia Tech but 18 points is a lot

Completely agree...I just don't think we're good enough to be favored by 18-20 points over another Power 5 team.

I'm thinking something along the lines of Ole Miss 38 Tech 24. Hopefully we can keep it a game for most of the 4 quarters.
Thru two games tackling has been a problem for our defense. We've sucked against the run and get no pressure on the QB. The defense has underperformed my preseason expectations, and the offense has somewhat outperformed what I thought we would be. Turnovers could be the great equalizer.

Ole Miss should beat the insects by at least 30. GT is pathetic

Get in Tech’s face, slam them down a few times and they will fold like a cheap chair.

They definitely have more talent than last year. We should still win, but it’s not gonna be as bad of blowout as last year. I don’t think we beat them by 30+ this year.

Buzz,
Went to your campus last year. Never have been. Really beautiful campus and the new buildings down town are impressive also. Do you think y’all will bring a pretty good road crowd?

Tech beautiful? My Gawd! How ugly it must be where you live if you honestly think Tech is “beautiful”. GT is the ugly armpit in the middle of a beautiful city.
That entire GT stadium should be condemned.
You must have sat in the N stands - the only half way presentable area in their stadium. They want to tear this area down even though after 20 years it still isn’t paid for because the empty seats look bad on tv.
The rest of the stadium is like stepping back into the dark ages. Some of the bathrooms actually have dirt walls with chicken wire. I heard that a few years ago the upper South level was torn down because it was literally about to fall in.
Their field sits over an ancient sewer line that collapsed several years ago in the parking lot of a hotel, killing one person. This was only a short distance from the stadium.
Every time we go to a UGA/GT game there we pray that the sewer holds and the stands don’t collapse. Or that we don’t pick up some dreadful disease in those medieval bathrooms

So how do you feel about Tech's stadium/campus?
Posted on 9/14/23 at 3:14 pm to themetalreb
I think I made myself pretty clear. It’s an ugly, dangerous place. Careful walking around the area for night games. Lots of crime. Thank goodness most of our games with GT are usually at noon and that’s bad enough

Dang. I thought the old buildings on the old part of the campus were nice. Liked their Greek houses too. It wasn’t so bad.

You really need to get out more. Even some Tech people acknowledge that the place is a dump. My brother-in-law, a GT grad, is one who tells it like it is. He is always saying he wished that the GT fans would pony up some big money to fix up the place. When I tell him that they are cheap and don’t give a damn he actually agrees. He comes to Athens at least 2-3 times a year to see some real football played in a beautiful place.
