Give me the actual greatest play ever, thanks.

Oh look, a td pass to a wide open wr. What a play!!!

Kick Six sent Auburn to the SEC Championship then the BCS Championship. The Play had no major implications whatsoever.

I’ll go with the play
Way too much shite has to go perfect for those plays to succeed

Im sorry your "greatest play ever" only netted you a win over Alabama. We know thats Auburns only aspiration already, Little Brother.

He was asking which play was better, not which play led to a national championship

I mean, if you want to get into it, Chris Davis simply caught a punt, and ran it back against a field goal unit that consisted of a bunch of manatees.

Both seem pretty relative to one another iyam.

This is not the first time a kickoff has been returned for a TD with numerous laterals. There are far less short field goals that have been returned for a game winning TD. Go look on Youtube and you will find compilations of gaming winning kick off return TDs with and without laterals (excluding band member interference). I cannot name any play that comes to mind where a field goal was returned outside of the Kick Six.
"Greatest college football play ever" can have varying definitions, but I'm choosing to use the definition that accounts for the overall impact that resulted because of the play.

Pretty sure LSU did it earlier that season.

Your own team that same season?

And an SEC championship and trip to the Natty

I think they're both awesome for what they were. The Play with its zaniness and the band being on the field and the Kick Six for its pressure and unexpectedness.

Kick Six vs The Play
Given the stakes, the nickname, how unique of a play, that Saban argued his way to the 1 second and that it followed the prayer, heavy lean to the Kick Six.

It was a moment I don't think any of us will ever forget.

Pretty sure "the play" never would have stood had there been instant replay back then. That one player's knee looks down before he pitches the ball back.

Yup looking back now I remember the 2013 UAB game. Memory hard.
Either way, that didn't change a thing for LSU or the season.
Miami Hurricanes pull off 8-lateral miracle to beat Duke - October 31, 2015 | ESPN Archives
This is arguably much more meaningful than "The Play" given that Duke lost should've won when the Miami player actually went down, and it took them out of the top 25. Miami and Duke eventually went 8-5 with average seasons.
