Gotta remember that we replaced a ton of people on defense as well as a Coordinator. They need time and reps to come together.
It was also Mercer.....we aren't going to show our entire defense package against Mercer. We played very vanilla.
I'm not saying I'm expecting them to be world beaters....but it's difficult to judge against bad competition.

After the first play I was saying … give them time to get settled in. One play isn’t enough to tell let alone one game
