Anyone see the video of what looked like Kiffin yelling at Kevin Smith when Bentley got the long TD? It looked like he was telling in I told you so now play him more.

I think there’s a lot of smoke to the theory that Smith wants “his guy” getting the rock.

I’ve seen it. Something was certainly said. The what is the million dollar question. At the very least we all saw what we pretty much already knew and that’s that Bentley should at least have been getting the same amount of carries as Parrish. And Matt Jones would be a distant third.

Yes-and Kiffin was totally ignored by him.

If this is all true.. why is Kiffin not overruling as the head coach to play the best players who give us a chance to win?

I’m listening to an audiobook on saban at the moment and to think he would let a RB coach hide and not allow the player who gives us the chance to succeed play due to favoritism is unfathomable

For someone who has been billed as somewhat of an offensive genius… We sure do have a lot of cooks in the kitchen It seems on that side of the ball.

I’ve never heard of a position coach dictating which player goes in at what time instead of the player who is supposed to go in based on the play-call and unit.

This reminds me of when LSU had a defensive coordinator for the front seven and a separate defensive coordinator for the secondary. They were never on the same page

Outside of Harris who’s made of glass our offensive talent has been overrated too. The coaching exacerbates the issue.

Can’t miss what we never had.

On another note. Sounds like there will be some offensive line changes for Oklahoma. For one Jeremy James will be back. And at wide receiver Ayden Williams may get more playing time. Hopefully we’ll have both Bentley and Parrish ready along with two or three key guys on defense. I still don’t know why we haven’t done a couple of these things long ago. It boggles the mind honestly.

I’ve had a few sleeps and I think I’m ready to blame our starting QB for the offense’s ineptitude.

I’ve said it before, we miss Judkins more than anyone is willing to admit. He took a lot of pressure off the passing game. I get that he was a locker room cancer but we’ve lost two games now where we had the ball late with a lead and couldn’t sustain drives to close it out.

And this rationale that we used the money slotted for him to improve the offensive line was obviously a waste of money.

There are plenty of offenses with undersized RBs that can close out games. This is 1,000% the fact we have an OL that can’t run block (primarily due to IOL play) and absolutely no short yardage passing game due to the fact every team we play are playing press coverage due to our pitiful OL play.

Our o line couldn’t block last year either and Judkins still had 1,000 yards. And unlike Parrish he got that against sec teams not WF and MTSU.

I said before the season that without Q we lose Auburn and LSU. And sure enough UK was an auburn style slogfest where Kiffin punted on 4th and 2 because he doesn’t have a power back. And Parrish was way too undersized to run or block against LSU.

Hate him all you want. But we would be a better team if he had stayed. (At this point I would choose him over Dart but that’s besides the main point).

It wasn’t like the OLine was good last year either but we had one of the best RB tandems in the country and those guys made up for it. The WRs are way worse than last year as well. Dayton Wade was a lot better than what Juice Wells has been this year. Watkins clearly isn’t the same WR he was last year with all the injuries he’s had. If they would’ve paid Evan Stewart instead of Juice Wells we would be undefeated right now.

You know what else takes a lot of pressure off the passing game? Actually starting the number 1 running back on the roster.

You guys keep comparing Judkins to what would be the #3 running back had Judkins stayed.

Every position group on offense has regressed since last year minus the tight ends( who we refuse to use because our coaching staff are morons) and our QB can’t do anything other than spam inaccurate deep balls to Tre Harris. Obligatory frick Judkins but I’d take him over Dart too at this point, dudes been playing worse than he did In 22’. I just don’t understand how Kiffin let this happen. Its coaching malpractice.

It is. Paid Diggs and Rashad Amos to come and neither of them will be a factor. Oh by the way we lost Reescano who looked like a baller on tape.

He’s made everything a complete sideshow even down to him still wanting praise for the losses.

Amos made some stellar plays in the first half against LSU.
