What the frick does that have to do with this conversation, you knuckle dragging, mouth breathing gaywad?

Does defense matter or not?

Don’t call yourself the best team ever if you can’t keep Vandy from scoring 4 touchdowns and you beat Auburn by 3.

I have some numbers:

1995 Nebraska had 4 players selected in the first round of the 1996-98 NFL drafts. Only one was selected in the 1996 NFL draft.

2020 Alabama had 11 players selected in the first round of the NFL draft from 2021-23. Six of those were selected in the 2021 NFL draft.

1995 Nebraska’s opponents produced 9 first round picks from 1996-1998 drafts.

2020 Alabama’s opponents produced 26 first round picks from the 2021-23 drafts.

2020 Alabama had 7 more first rounders, 3 more second rounders, and 2 more third rounders than 1995 Nebraska.

1995 Nebraska didn’t win any individual awards. 2020 Alabama won damn near all of them, including three of the Top 5 Heisman finalists.

But yeah, no one stands a chance against a team with not shite at WR, a QB with a marginal arm, and a RB who would do God knows what in an adverse situation.

Take it position by position.

Tommie Frazier or Mac Jones? Is Tommie Frazier going to give you 400-500 yards of offense? No!

Lawrence Phillips or Najee Harris? Phillips ran over a bunch of shite and couldn’t hack it in the NFL. Harris was sharpened against the best competition in CFB history and is an NFL starter.

OL? Anyone better than Dickerson and Leatherwood? Uh, no.

WR? Bahahahahaha!

Defense? Anyone better than Will Anderson and Patrick Surtain? No! Anyone want to line up in 21 personnel and run onto the teeth of an elite SEC defense? No!

Coaching? Saban.

You sound like a 5th grader. Did LSU not beat those teams? Did LSU not set the RECORD for most top teams beat? Educate yourself before spewing nonsense.

Hell, a legendary former USC QB even agrees that 2019 LSU is the best team ever. It’s practically not debatable when you use FACTS & STATISTICS.

Watch a 3-9 Vanderbilt team rack up nearly 400 yards of total offense? No I did not.

Pretty obvious I was making fun of him claiming people “clearly didn’t watch” LSU’s defense give up 38 points to Vanderbilt when they in fact, gave up 24

Btw didn’t your GOAT covid 2020 Bama team get nearly 50-pieced by Ole Miss who went 4-5 in the regular season? 647 yards of offense

Why is it dumb?

2005 Texas is almost always on top 5 or top 10 lists.

If you’ve never heard anyone say that you don’t get out much or read much.

Ridiculous amount of NFL talent, mostly blowouts, top 5 road win, would’ve put 100 points on Colorado if we wanted to (sat on the ball with 70 points early 3Q, beat the supposed greatest team of all time and stopped there 34 game win streak.

Only two regular season games in doubt in the 4Q - on the road at Ohio State and Aggy giving us their best shot at Kyle.

The most overrated team.

Nebraska’s kryptonite in the Osborne era was an elite defensive front.

I mean, considering that their 3-year record was 36-1 after they destroyed one of the best UF teams of all time to clinch back-to-back NCs, kryptonite was not much of an issue for them during that time frame (and they had beaten Miami the previous year to win the title). The 95 team was just a great team that ran the option to perfection. They averaged 7 yards per rush.

You are literally ignoring statistics, BigNastyRetard.

Me: Uhh… That defense only ranked in the Top 25 in one category. It was average to bad in everything else.

You: BuT wE WoN!!1

Me: Uhh, okay, but you’re calling them the best team ever. Isn’t defense an important part of that?

You: BuT wE WoN!!1!

Me: Okay, but you gave up 20+ points to 9 different opponents, including a 3-9 Vanderbilt team. Your defense wasn’t very good. That’s part of your team, right?

You: BuT wE WoN!!1

You have the IQ of wet cardboard.

No, this take is dumb. That team was absolutely stacked and I would put them up against anybody.

-Averaged 50.2 ppg and allowed 16 ppg
-They were up 70-3 in the Big 12 championship before they pulled everyone in the 3rd quarter
-That Texas team had 24 players drafted
-Beat USC who had two heisman winners and was on a 33 game winning streak

Another thing that hurts LSU is they hung on for dear life at home against true freshman Bo Nix.

That’s great.

Tell me about that defense. There’s literally not one single reference to your putrid defense on that entire copy & pasted diatribe. What I just read is something I’d expect to see if you started a thread titled “Joe Burrow can frick my wife, and here’s why:” Certainly not a validation for naming that team the greatest of all time.

Or is defense no longer a part of the team when considering the best team of all time?

TIA.
