Mrs. H2O (no pics) is a Texas alum and wanted to go catch a game this year. Man the home slate is horrendous. We picked what seemed like the best one on the schedule (K-State) but no wonder they're excited to move to the SEC.
9/2: Rice
9/16: Wyoming
9/30: Kansas
10/28: BYU
11/4: K-State
11/24 (Friday): Texas Tech
Seems like they got every "good" Big 12 matchup on the road this year

If they don't go 5-1 in this can we revoke their SEC membership?

The November games might be alright. Otherwise, yea… OU is the only game within state lines this year that incites any anticipation and excitement.
Will definitely be a different story 2024 and beyond

We won't. Ol sark loves to drop games he shouldn't. He's the Jeff Fisher of college football.

I cannot believe I’m rooting for Bama week 2. Low key would be nice to have Bama smack them for a welcome to the SEC

We tried to get season tickets this year just so we'd be in line when they joined the SEC next year and they were fully sold out

Did we really let these Fck ERs in this Conference? They are going to get killed.

be careful what you wish for. On one hand you get lousy matchups but win all of them. On the other you get awesome fun matchups but may lose 3 or 4 of them. Which would you prefer?

Something like 75,000 season tickets sold, all home games are sold out, no more season tickets available

This isn’t any different than any other year over the last decade, how they have only won 6 games a year with this schedule over the last decade is beyond embarrassing

Both OU and Tex better meet in the big12 championship game.
It’s embarrassing for the sec if they don’t.

Kansas is gonna go in dry

Only three certainties in life: death, taxes, and Old Sarge/ColoradoAg melting about Texas.

They are proud of being 5-12 against Texas in the Big 12.

Should have been a requirement for entry. Can’t join til you make it.
Also looked at getting season tix in Austin. Stupid alumni control most of them.

Who’s melting and how?
Do you actually dispute the fact that Texas A&M used “Longhorn” decades before you kids decided to start calling yourselves that?
Or are you ignorant of your own university’s history?

Sometimes schedules just don't work out in your favor... but yeah, that slate of home games is arse.
However, and I feel bad for doing this, it isn't like Texas has a great list of potential home games this year. Oklahoma is a neutral site game. They got TCU at home last year. They got Bama at home. There just aren't many Big 12 games that move the needle for them.
A program lives and dies by whether or not the fans are invested in it. No one is going to be invested in that slate of games, other than the Big 12 teams who are staying. They will all have Texas and Oklahoma circled on their calendars.
