I wanted to see how we’d match up top to bottom:
1. Georgia vs Ohio State
2. Bama vs USC
3. LSU vs Michigan
4. OU vs Penn St
5. Tennessee vs Oregon
6. Florida vs Wisconsin
7. Auburn vs Washington
8. A&M vs Iowa
9. SC vs Mich St
10. Texas vs UCLA
11. Ole Miss vs Minnesota
12. Mizzou vs Nebraska
13. Arkansas vs Illinois
14. State vs Maryland
15. Kentucky vs Purdue
16. Vandy vs Indiana

B10 has Northwestern and Rutgers watching from home. If rumors are true then Clemson would slot in at 5ish and Florida State 8ish.

Objectively the SEC is still better.

Here’s an unpopular take…
1. USC will go there and die. As long as Lincoln Riley is their HC they will not play sufficient defense (and wind up losing unnecessary games i.e. Iowa).

2. The B10 will still fail to produce a consistent national contender (that can win the big one).

3. The B10 will make the most money and still lag behind the SEC in viewership.

Edit* The SEC will still recruit at overall higher levels.

The jury's still out on USC and I would personally be surprised if they don't make the playoff this season, but everything else is just objectively true and thus shouldn't be unpopular.

I'm confused. Is this an all-time ranking or based on last season? Or possibly a ranking based on a projected 2023? Because all-time, Arkansas is better than Ole Miss, but in 2022, Ole Miss was better than Auburn and A&M.

USC will lose to Washington and possibly Oregon this season. Defense will not stack up.

Since Mizzou & AM joined the league conference records:

Team W L %
Bama 80 10 0.89
UGA 71 18 0.80
LSU 58 32 0.64
FL 54 36 0.60
TX AM 48 41 0.54
AUB 44 46 0.49
MSU 42 48 0.47
Mizzou 41 49 0.46
USCe 40 50 0.44
OM 39 50 0.44
TN 35 55 0.39
KY lube 32 58 0.36
ARK 23 67 0.26
Vandy 21 68 0.24

Let's keep pretending MSU is a bottom dweller and OM is some kind of top team though.

If b10 adds ND is the only way this will even be close when OK and TX join SEC.

They got ok middle teams. We'd beat their top and bottom teams.

I'm not sure about the extended future, but this coming season, you can count on Michigan and Penn State fighting it out for the Little-10 championship. I still can't figure out why Ohio st is getting so much love. They are going to miss Stroud a heckuva lot more than we are going to miss Bennett or Bama will miss BY. Michigan and PSU return a ton of talent including stout Ds and stout backfields.

In terms of big brand names they match up better than I would have thought. The difference is that all of their brand names other than Ohio St and USC are relying on success prior to this century, while the SEC has 7 teams with titles this century.

They’re going to play at Sparty or Iowa in 40 degrees, windy, sleeting rain and own-goal themselves out of the playoffs. Defense travels. They’re going to be doing travel big time. Until they have a defense, I would bet on embarrassing Fall losses in the Midwest.
