This is pretty much how it is at LSU. We're usually top 10 classes and into the top 5 every 3-4 cycles.
If anything, I expect in 10 years we'll look back and Kelly and his staff will have increased our average class rank.
Kelly has only had 2 classes here, and I know that's a small sample size, but his average is better than the last 3 coaches we had.

Looks like he was consistently in the Top 15 at Notre Dame, with a couple of exceptions, and signed a Top 5 class at LSU in his first season.

At LSU, no. Kinda weird, he either had a 20th ranked class or a top 5 class.
But my point is that LSU is usually in that 5-10 range. The past 4 coaches combined, the average class ranks between 7-8.
