Excellent pickup, I’ve always thought Arkansas would be a good state for Mizzou to recruit more. Nearby, decent amount of talent, and the only in state P5 school to compete with is one that we beat annually and could use that to outrecruit them.

I know you’re trolling but he’s a 4* on every service except 247 just dropped him to a 3, I bet it was an Arky insider going in and changing it to cope. And still a 247 composite 4*. Good offer list too - Notre Dame, Oklahoma, LSU, Kansas State, and several other lower tier P5s

I mean we didn’t pursue Huff super hard but I’m not sure it’s cope to admit Arkansas doesn’t put out great talent. I think most SEC fans would agree with that

Meanwhile Missouri puts out a good bit of talent, just none give Mizzou a second glance the majority of the time. Would be rough seeing your state pump out a few high end guys every year and never have a chance with them, like that #2 DE in nation, and Mizzou with DL background, not even a shot. If Ark put out that much we'd be much much better off and keep many more at home similar to basketball.

Hell 2023 Arkansas had a whopping three 4 stars total. Then quick drop off to JSU, Tulsa, Ark State kids. But Ark almost always keeps the top 2 in state at home and beyond that it depends on fit and are you a take.
2024 much of the same story, four total 4 stars. Top 2 at home again and Russell will be 3 of top 4. Nothing against Huff but it is very true he was right on that take line and not recruited heavily as the 8th best player in the state. And #7 and #9 players in the state do not hold Ark offers.

Not an Arky fan but those are some cold, hard facts he's delivering. Arkansas is not a deep state from a HS football perspective.

Your class is currently 13th or 14th in the league depending on the site. I’d focus on trying to actually beat Vandy in recruiting before you worry about anyone else.

Again…you’re so focused on beating us, you don’t even realize you’ve finished behind us the past two years. It’s no wonder you guys celebrated a raise and extension for a coach that hasn’t even broken .500. He beat Arkansas so coach for life I suppose.
