Pick one of those mini decks, your choice. Whatever the bottom card is, will be "your card". Memorize it. Set the mini deck back down.
After you have memorized your card, take that mini-deck and place it on top of one of the other mini-decks for a 6 stack. Then place that six stack on top of the remaining 3-stack.
To ensure you have stacked correctly, "your card" should be 3rd from the top of the restacked 9 card deck.
Tell me when you are ready for the next step.

We're going to mix that 9-deck up, but in an orderly process. I need you to pick a card randomly out of the big deck that you set aside earlier.
This card will determine how you mix up your 9-deck.
Say that card out loud.

If the number of that card is a 1 (ace) through 9, then count off the number from the top of your 9-stack off to the side, on top of one another.
Example- if the card from the big deck was 4, you'd count off four cards from the top of your little deck to the side, on top of one another.
If your random card from the big deck was a 10 or face card, you count off the letters. Ten would be 3. Queen would be 5, because there's five letters in queen. Aces count as one.
Let me know when done, or if clarification is needed.

Any cards you have left that weren't counted off, place them on top of the pile that were counted off. So you still have a stack of 9 cards.
Then the next two letters of the random card from the big deck- of.
Whether it was a 2 of clubs or a jack of diamonds, the word "of" is part of the card name.
Do what you just did in the previous step, but for the letters O and F, so 1 and 2. Peel off the top card, then the next card, into a mini deck of two. Then place the remainder of the cards on top of that.

Since you are taking so long I'll go ahead and tell you the next step.
Do the same thing with the suit. However many letters are in the suit, that how many cards you peel off the top of your 9-deck, and place the remainder on top.
Clubs = 5
Hearts = 6
Spades = 6
Diamonds = 8
Whatever the suit was from the random card you selected from the main deck, peel that number off on on top of each other from your little deck and place the remainder on top.

Now do it with the suit as I outlined above. We're almost there.

I want you to lay out your 9-deck in a 3x3 formation. Clear some space if you need to.
Top card goes top left. Next card top middle. Next card top right.
Then second row.
4th card middle left. 5th card middle. 6th card middle right.
Then 3rd row.
7th bottom left. 8th bottom middle. 9th bottom right.
All face down.
