Nor did Texas but for that few good years.

Nebraska won a national title in 1997 plus 2 Big 12 titles. Texas won a title in 2005, played for another in 2009, and won 3 Big 12 titles, but it was "basically the Nebraska show." Okay.

I will say that I’ll never forgive Texas for what they did to Henry Josey.

He would still be playing on Sundays if it wasn’t for that damn injury and he was having a monster sophomore year.

Other than that, I really don’t hate Texas. I hate Dodds and that’s about it. They are Cowboys fans so that’s what Texas does. Overhype. Not the players fault.

The Big 12 is part of the P3 and will grow even stronger after it absorbs what it wants from the ACC and Pac.

I’m sorry but the Big XII would be getting the leftovers of teams after the Big Ten and SEC. That whole conference will be mid.

Yes, Nebraska was at the tail end one of the more dominant stretches in college football history when the Big 12 began. They were the marquee team by far and won two of the first 4 titles and it would have been three if they didn't lay down vs. that pretty mediocre 4 loss Texas squad in the first title game. Texas would go on to get blown out by Penn State right after that game.

Oklahoma took their place thereafter. Texas stuck their head up in just two years (2005 and 2009) and then became a national non-factor thereafter.

And then went 1-9 against Texas.

When did A&M stick their head up in the Big 12? Or ever?

If your argument is "you had nothing to do with the success of the Big 12, except for the times you went to the national title game" then I concede. Although in both 2001 and 2008 we were 1 game away from doing the same same thing you give 1996 Nebraska credit for.

Aggies never fail to be full of shite.

We won 10+ games for nine straight years.

You have a grand total of twelve 10 win seasons in 120 years of football.

Texas appeared in more NC games and had more top 5 finishes in that 9 year run (2001-2009) than A&M has achieved in their 128 year history.

Texas has 2 additional 6 year runs that equal or exceed even that '01-'09 comparison. Based on A&M's current run rate and assuming Texas cancelled their program full stop today...

It'll be well into the 24th century before A&M gets within smelling distance of catching up to Texas on these same terms.

the Big Ten only takes Aau schools. That leaves Clemson and Florida State out and they may not want any part of the SEC. If the Big 12 can add them then we will get a media deal equal to the SEC. Miami is now Aau but I doubt the Big 10 is interested in them. Georgia Tech may not be desired by neither.

Texas A&M would still manage to go 8-4 or worse in that conference.
