Yes, our DLine was that much better. I won't be mean to you and insult you, but I will explain why the cards are stacked against UT.
This past season, we had lost a ton of talent of our D to the NFL and still overpowered your O. This season, we return 7 starters on D. Is there any reason to think our D is not going to be even better?
UT has not recruited anywhere near the leve UGA has. 247's website did a composite average recruiting rankings over the last 5 years for every team in the country...
Bama was ranked #1, UGA #2. LSU was the next SEC team coming in at #7. UT was all the way down at #17, even below Florida and Auburn. This just means that we have been stockpiling more talent. UT lacks the talent and depth to beat UGA. That might change over a longer period of time, but right now, you can't just make a team be equal to another team in talent over night.
You beat Bama last season, but that Bama team had some serious chemistry problems on D. UGA does not have that. We have fielded the best D in the country 2 straight years.
