Pitching was not the problem. They gave up three runs. LSU did not take advantage of their scoring opportunities. Period.

With Skenes not throwing, LSU will take giving up only three runs all day long.

Yeah, I thought LSU should have thrown Skenes tonight, but I think I was wrong. Maybe he only gives up 1 run, but the LSU pitchers did their job tonight.
