The positive? We have only one way to go, UP! But yes, it’s hard to argue that Louisiana is not way too behind in a lot of important categories outside of sports. However, with the right political leadership, we can change things around. There’s a lot to build on.

I don’t dispute any of this, but it really does deserve to be pointed out - this conference was so much better before we sullied it with this Big 12 reject garbage. The biggest mistake the SEC ever made was when it took the easy money grab and allowed Texas 8-4 into our idillic wonderland. The fatal blow was when we continued by allowing the Longwhorns in.
We flew too close to the sun. And now our beautiful conference will likely share you reject garbage’s similar fate.
