Those are all elite schools and paired with Vandy, UF, A&M and UGA would make the SEC an academic powerhouse while greatly enhancing the research base.

Who gives a shite? The is a sports conference, not an academic conference. Let the schools band together on academic terms if they want to but Virginia wouldn't be worth an ounce of dog shite on the football field. They wouldn't bring any more eyeballs to games. It would only serve to water down the conference with a greater increase and focus on progressive social messages instead of athletics and I, for one, hate bringing that social justice shite into athletics. UNC would be great for basketball but they would also add all of the same BS social messaging. If you've ever known someone from the Raleigh-Durham area, you know what I am talking about.

A big NO! from me on adding either one of these two teams.

Of course it's a sports conference. Which is why the SEC being in North Carolina is a no brainier. Virginia I can take or leave but can also see the appeal of being in there, and the SEC can be like the Big Ten and claim DC for no reason as a result of being a border state to it.

All of your other political nonsense is something that fits Georgia more than it fits North Carolina.
