Kelly took over a team that was #3 in talent rankings year before he showed up. Kelly had 13 5*s and 45 or so 4*’s to work with when he showed up. Heupel took over a team that was under NCAA investigations, had 31 transfers before he was hired, and followed the 3 worse coaches in possibly NCAA history. So I honestly doubt BK could have done any better under those same circumstances. And oh Heupel went 11-2 in his 2nd year while also still under investigation. He is having to try and recruit while the NCAA still hasn’t complete its investigation. I say the UT job was hell of lot harder than the LSU job.
