-Most consecutive years appearing in the poll at some point during the season:
55- Ohio State (this is active and could be continued for a long, long time it would seem)
Alabama's 45 year straight was second longest. That ended in 2003.
Other active streaks
26- Georgia
23- LSU
16- Alabama
8- Florida
7- Texas
5- Texas A&M
3- Kentucky
2- Ole Miss
2- Arkansas
-Most consecutive years appearing as no. 1 at some point
15- Alabama and still active. This is a monumental and historic run as the next highest is 7 by Miami from 1986-1992.
The only other active streak at the moment is Georgia's last two seasons.
Other long streaks by SEC or future SEC teams:
5 Texas 1961-1965
5 OU 1954-1958
3 OU 1985-1987
3 Bama 1978-1980
3 Bama 1964-1966
Not gonna list the years for all the teams at two.
Georgia has an active one obviously that should move up to three after this season
Others:
Florida two times
OU three times
Auburn two times
Texas once
Alabama once
LSU once
-Consecutive appearances in the preseason poll
Record and still active
Ohio State- 34
OU had a streak of 28 that ended after 1995
Alabama had a streak of 24 that ended after 1984
OU has an active one at 23
Georgia has an active on at 21
LSU had one at 21 that ended after 2021.
-The longest streak in the final poll.
Record- Nebraska at 33 ending after 2001
Alabama's 15 is the longest active and the longest by any SEC team on record (incredible considering that is also number 1 every season at some point as well)
Others of note:
OU 14- 1946-59
OU 13- 1970-82
Texas 12- 2011-2022
UGA 12- 1997-2008
UF 12- 1990-2001
Bama 10- 1959-1968
The only other team with an active streak of any length is UGA at 6.
Was kind of shocked by this, but every team aside from Bama and UGA, including OU and Texas, are either at 1 or 0 entering this season.

It's still baseball season for the majority of SEC teams. Sorry your school is a one trick pony.

It’s a pretty good trick, though. One most of you will never learn

Georgia won the CWS in 1990, the first SEC team to do so. I can’t seem to find Arkansas.

Tell them all about your track and field. That should put everyone to sleep.

Another fun fact:
The only programs to have a Top 5 AP finish during every decade since the 1950s (1950s, 1960s, 1970s, 1980s, 1990s, 2000s, and 2010s)…
Auburn and Notre Dame
The Irish have already kept the steak alive in the in the 2020s. Auburn has seven seasons left to do the same.
