They are too much to me. Way too much, but I guess it is the symbolism for the players.
I do agree that they can be overdone, too. I feel the same way about expanding the playoffs. The more teams you put in the playoffs the more it cheapens it.

Obviously, everyone here already knows the answer. But it also kind of gets to my original point. Doesn't a Peach bowl win ring kind of tarnish the Natty ring just a little bit? I mean, no team sets their ultimate season goal as a Peach Bowl win, and shouldn't a National Championship Ring embody everything during the season that lead up to that point?
Handing out 4 rings screams insecurity.

I get the argument to some extent. As a counter point, if a team has to play/win more games to get the trophy, then it could mean more.
I don't really know the answer, but it's just another way of thinking about it.

Those are beautiful rings. Back to back rings are for making history in the playoff era. SEC taking it bad is for UGA building something special.

It's always been that way though. This isn't a UGA thing. BCS winners got at least 3 rings.

I can assure you it would not mean more. I mean a win over the top FCS team not ranked in the top 12 would have been Troy. Do you think a victory over Troy would mean more? We have blowouts pretty much every year with 4 teams. Expanding to 12 teams will only expand the number of blowouts.
Just my opinion. And there is always room for a new way of thinking, so I don't mean to summarily dismiss your post.
