Reese and Clark talking trash is basketball. No problem with it either way.
But people saying Reese is only getting criticized because she is black is fricking stupid.
The real reason she is being criticized is because of this…..The country became extremely fanatical of Caitlin Clark so they are blinded/forgiving to any trash talk she does and extremely criticalof anyone who trash talks Clark and will defend Caitlin to no end. Similar to how Swwifties do Taylor Swift or the Beyhive does Beyoncé.
Has nothing to do with race

Not often I agree with an Alabama fan.
But yes.
But yes.

It only became about race when the media saw the angle and made it that way. They got what they wanted - views, clicks, money.
We the people just become further divided by it.

The sports media hates Mulkey because she won't follow their political narratives. The attacks on Reese are simply proxy attacks on Mulkey. Neither Reese or Clark or Mulkey have done anything wrong. The criticism is coming 100% from leftist hatemongers and their willingness to objectify Reese to try and score points against Mulkey shows the true lack of regard they hold for black athletes.

Only problem with that logic is that Angel got shite all year for doing this when Caitlin got none. Some peeps are just tuning in but this was not just about yesterday to Angel. The fact that she wasn’t put up for one of the top 15 players in the country rubbed salt in the wound. And it was b/c she didn’t fit their narrative….She had a bone to pick.

This is so stupid. Nobody had even heard of her until 2 days ago.

Do you not know why?

She definitely fits the narrative, but it's the one we aren't allowed to talk about.

Thanks for proving the OP to be incorrect. If you don't think race had something to do with the criticism of Reese, your head is in the sand.

You're not embarrassed for knowing this kind of shite?

Sorry but u are partly wrong some of the criticism of Angel is because of race whether u want to acknowledge it or not, I agree some is because Clark is the darling of NCAA women’s basketball and Angel is not because of her confidence. U can’t tell me keeping her off the POY award nominees list didn’t have anything to do with the way she is preceived whether it’s race or culturally

Maybe for some, the Iowa threads posted somewhere on here speak to that.
However, if you think what Reese did is the same as what Caitlin did or what is considered to be normal "trash talk" your head is equally in the sand.
Marshall Henderson acted like a jackass and got plenty of shite. He's white, so maybe it's more than just race involved?

When the criticism of Reese includes descriptions of her as a "hood rat thug" and/or "TFN" as I have seen, it is pretty clear that her race is playing a large part in it.
No one criticized the white girl for doing the same exact thing earlier in the tournament. If you want to criticize both for taunting, I have no problem with it, as long as racial terms are left out.

That may have a little to do with it, but it’s mostly because CC is the only reason any casual watched Women’s basketball this year, and the manner in which #10 from LSU attempted to “talk trash” was weird and cringey.
Now the defenders of #10 are attempting to compare the “you can’t see me” Clark threw up at her former teammate to what #10 did, but the two aren’t remotely similar. #10 followed Clark around for 5-7 seconds, without managing to illicit a response, and kept going in an attempt to get her attention.
It was fricking weird.

Reese described herself at the press conference before anyone else here did.
Hoodrat thug gonna hoodrat thug. Nobody knew who she was until she embarrassed herself on TV, in an unsuccessful attempt to get the attention of perhaps the best player in WCBB history.

Reese made it about race. She played the card.

She called herself that.

That's because she never did anything remotely the same.
