No he wasn't. As a freshman Harper had a 17.5 PER and .538 true shooting %, 34% from 3. As a soph he was 18.3 PER and 56% TS, 35% from 3. He was definitely better as a soph and even better as a junior, but this idea he wasn't a dang good player as a freshman is BS.

That's not even on the same planet as Aden's just under 11 PER. Now should Aden get kicked to the curb, not really IMO. But we need to get a vet transfer point guard that has great skills, and if Aden isn't okay with that competition I'd let him go then though.

Now Bryce Brown is a good comparison, he wasn't very good as a freshman.
