Anyone care to break down the game tomorrow night, for the casual fans among us?

I full expect bama 60% from 3pt and them to be in the bonus early, with our guys in foul trouble when they step off the bus.

That’s exactly what I expect also. Foul trouble in the 1st half and everyone sitting.

2 years ago at Bama, Kessler fouled out in only 12 minutes of playing time

Last year at Bama we had 3 players foul out..

Defending without fouling is certainly a key to beating Bama. Bama runs a modern analytical offensive system where the only shots you will see them take are 3's and shots at the rim. "Treys and Lays".

They have several guys shooting it really well this year at pretty high volume. Sears is 47% from 3, Estrade 37%, Griffen 37%, Wrightsell 43%, Walters is 49%. Lots of firepower.

Key 1 is defending without fouling but key 2 is being able to defend your own guy and close the driving lanes. If help defenders have to leave their man to stop the driving lanes that's when Bama can kill you with lobs or kick outs. I think we are somewhat well suited to do that but we will see. Bama will be hungry after their loss and will be determined to get to the rim and draw fouls or the help defender for an easy pass and score.

Defensively they aren't very good. I'd imagine their game plan in some general way is going to be to sag off, clog the lane on Jaylin and Broome and keep the ball out on the perimeter. Tre, Aden, Denver, KD, CBM, and Jaylin making some threes could open up this game big time for us.
