Here’s the other thing that bothers me about the coverage of this case and posts on this board about it. There was another gun involved in the incident, and it was used by her boyfriend. The man that pulled the trigger that killed Harris wasn’t on the team or even a student at the University. But in almost every column and post about the incident, the players are the only ones receiving blame. Seems to me that all parties involved made decisions that night that lead to the tragic outcome, but let’s put all the blame on the Alabama basketball team.

Agreed but only one person (Davis) walked right up to the driver's door of the other party's vehicle while carrying a gun. Harris's boyfriend, along with the occupants of said vehicle remained inside as best I can tell from the ESPN article based on the video they watched.

It's not hard to figure out why Davis and Miles are indicted. Also, Harris's boyfriend didn't kill anyone. Certainly could have but did not. Don't know much about gun laws but if you are in your own vehicle and somebody else walks right up carrying a gun (don't know if it was concealed or not but clearly Davis came looking for trouble and had a gun at the ready) seems like could be a stand your ground type situation.

Granted, Harris's boyfriend helped escalate the situation from everything I've read.

Nobody cared about this story until Miller's name was linked to it.

It's not a surprise.
