South Carolina just had him on campus for an unofficial. does that make you calm down a little bit. Yall love trusting this staff when they land a big time recruit, but if they offer a guy who isnt a blue chip yall question why they offered him. I think they know what they are looking at. The staff could of straight up told the kid, "look, we want you but you wont see the field for 2 years until you develop". But those conversations arnt made public. Im guessing, it went along those lines just due to pure size and athleticism.

I am just kidding! I trust the DC for his choice. Why would a good DC that is good at evaluating DB, CB, LB, DE would be picking an unrated player? I am guessing he is seeing something that others aren't and like you said he might have told him that he would need time to get ready to be the player he is expecting he can be a good one for Mizzou.

Jaylen Brown

His high school coaches quote
quote:

"He is has great length, huge wingspan. Runs extremely well. Great explosion. Incredibly flexible, Great hip mobility. He is 6-foot-6 legit. Works extremely hard. Great culture guy for any position room. May play this game for a long time the way he is developing."

Rivals breakdown
quote:

- Late Bloomer: Brown generated some intrigue during the summer with his camp performances at various locations. However, Maryland was the only power five program to jump in with an offer back in June. Missouri got him on campus in late July, where the three-star impressed the staff during camp, earning an offer from the Tigers which proved to be a difference-maker.

- Power to the Peoples: Before hitting Mizzou's campus in July, Tigers' defensive line/edge coach Kevin Peoples had been expressing plenty of interest in Brown and had been communicating with his high school coaches for a couple of months.

Don’t know much about him but that’s a good high school program. They have a history of producing good linemen.

His coach is legit so at least he's being coached up.
