So 2 5* freshman WRs will make us significantly better? Will they be playing OL, then take turns throwing to each other? Give me 2 reasons to think next season will be any different.
Will 2 true freshman OL improve our line play next year? Will our RB room be better minus Hunter and any new additions? What makes you think any QB will have time to throw accurate passes to all these new WRs? I've had 100% faith in Freeze. But NMSU, 4th and 31, and the bowl game raise legitimate concerns don't they?

Yes, it's very possible that freshman receivers or ANY receivers can improve this team right now. Cam Coleman is a rare talent, but there will be growing pains. Did a true freshman center in Conner Lew help us last season? I think he was freshman all SEC right? I see no reason why Jeremiah Cobb and a healthy Damari won't be better. Did Alston not show great promise in the iron bowl? Beyond the Texas A&M game where our QB was admittedly a dear in the headlights, our offensive line showed improvement from 2022 right? If we continue to stack talent and get better why can't their be more of an upward trend? Acting like the sky is falling doesn't help at all.

If they catch the ball when it hits them in the hands and just get 75% of the jump balls that are catchable, then yes, they will improve us dramatically. I'm not sure I have ever seen a football team drop as many passes as we did this year, like glaringly catchable balls.
Now we got absolutely roasted in the NMSU and Maryland games and no amount of 5 star receivers would fix that. Those games were motivation issues that need to be sorted and I don't know how that happens. That will take leadership at the top and leadership in the locker room for sure.

Hunter was off most of the year this year. We need running backs that can, and will, pick up blitzes. Most of our OLine issues come from blitz packages that don't get picked up for what I remember.
But to answer your questions, yeah, I think another year in a new system will make most of the guys returning better players and a better team. At least, this is what you hope for. If we have the same issues next year as we did this, then we need to look in the offices rather than on the field.
