Smuphy said some QBs that would be an upgrade have already had people "reach out" to Auburn, it wont be a repeat of last year.
Id bet if we miss out on a few flips in the next couple of weeks it will be because we have budgeted ample for a QB.

Lache nor Marcus’ dad played football at Auburn. They were both from out of state. Not comparable recruitments.
All I know about the situation at QB is there is a clear cut top 3 that we’d like to get and believe they have mutual interest. Obviously nothing official can happen for the next week or so, but I’d be floored if we didn’t get one of the three.

Plus something happened with Seastrunk and he wasn’t allowed to commit, which in retrospect is wild considering some of the shite that happened with players in the program during that era. Can’t remember if we had to stop recruiting him or if it was something on his end, but I remember him just seeming depressed that he was on the Oregon side of Auburn vs Oregon in the natty

There was a big rumor around him and handlers/agents and crap iirc. Kind of one of those that there was enough smoke and we had two other RB’s that we just had to part ways with him.

His uncle was into some shady stuff, most of it behind Lache’s back. We had lattimore locked up until like 10 minutes before he signed and spurrier gave him one last staying home guilt trip.
