What happened with Air Noland?
Harsin happened
Harsin liked Adrian Possee and let Posse commit at BCW when it seemed widely known that Noland would have committed that day (or soonish) otherwise. And after he had Posse on board he really didn’t recruit Noland very hard, if at all. This was all while Posse got beat in fall camp at his high school and was looking for other schools to transfer to
No clue if Noland was on Freeze’s radar. Seems pretty clear Freeze had White as his #1 guy from the time he was hired

In that linked clip of cruits check out the catch Bryce Cain makes with 5 defenders around him!

JLee finally admitted Patterson wasn't happening.
Like I said, Antonio White time.

High school stats are almost meaningless.

He never had him above 50%. No idea why anyone is talking as if he was predicting him to Auburn. It actually looks like his source(s) were correct; he was saying the whole time that he wasn't hearing FSU while all of their people were "close to putting predictions in". He's going to Miami.

Most of this board holds a bit of a grudge towards JLee after 2012 when he predicted everyone and their mother to Auburn with 70% confidence. He’s since learned from that and is the recruiting guy for Auburn now IMO.

That one sucks, but Antonio White is a damn good player and will be a solid addition.

Bummer
To JLee’s credit, he stuck to his information saying Auburn or Miami, even when everyone was on the FSU bandwagon

Yep nailed this one too. I find him to be annoying on their podcast (mainly when he laughs) but he’s been one of the best recruiting guys in the country recently.

I recalled JLee was saying what he heard was Auburn or Michigan but that he wouldn’t be surprised if Miami came in and said we aren’t going to let him leave the State like Ole Miss did with Franklin and AU did with Riddick. But JLee thought it was Michigan or Auburn unless something changes in the last 72 hours (which it apparently did).

He said for a long time it was AU and Michigan at the top, Miami third, and FSU fourth. Then on Wednesday he posted an update saying it was now Miami and AU at the top and said Auburn had their work cut out to win out.

I admit this is where I was and still a little skeptical to this day. JLee is no Keef Kneebur but he’s aight.

August update: we're 7th in the SEC in recruiting per 247 and 15th overall nationally .
The hard truth is even though we had some big recruiting wins in July, we're still well behind the lead dogs and have a long way to go to be competitive in this conference.
Freeze is clearly an elite recruiter but I believe NIL is holding us back right now. I imagine the fanbase isn't willing to donate top dollar because the last 5 years have been dreadful. Maybe things will pick up if we have some success on the field this season and can make people more willing to donate to the collectives.
At this pace, we're on track for 7-5/8-4 seasons for the foreseeable future until we can truly start landing elite recruiting classes.

The recruitniks don’t really know the players they form a “recruiting relationship” with the kids. They can only go by what the kids tell them or someone on staff tells them. Sometimes those 2 match up sometimes they don’t. Then it becomes a guess for them. I think they all do a decent job. Without them we would hardly know who is even on our recruiting board.
But I’m probably like most never put to much into what they say positive or negative
