Yeah the report in him is raw power and good leverage but technique is not very good and weak hand work. Good motor but not fast. Will be a good plug player for the run. Said the technique and hand work can be taught but his power is not coachable. Thoughts are one to two year project player. Has SEC size and Power but not enough of the other to expect early playing potential.

Every DL needs a rotational guy like that. Hope he develops well and turns into a solid player for us.

Why take him now? Its still fairly early in the recruiting cycle. Couldnt we save that spot for a prettier girl? Not like its close to closing time

We really don't have many other DL targets we know about. If we somehow ended up in a race for a top player I'm sure we would figure something out. As Jones pointed out the other day most of the top 250 are already committed, so there's not a lot of guys out there in general and we can't get left with nothing. Got to take whats out there.

all of that!
We got caught holding our dicks with OL. That turned into a shite show. It sounds like this one has intangibles you can't coach. Take a flyer on him and try to develop the coachable aspect.

NIL has shifted commitments earlier, especially this cycle
There’s about 10% of the top 300 uncommitted. I think there’s a big question regarding how many flips are coming
Commitments doesn’t mean recruitment is over. We may be in for a wild December

Missed a wide open TD on a slant throwing 10 yards over dude
/ head in first quarter. Throwing just looks very inconsistent. Great athlete though
