Sounds more and more like Miami for Zaquan Patterson.

It’s a good question and yes we need to take a NT every cycle. They get injured a lot because of all the double teams. Some work out and some don’t. Takes a different breed of guy to mix it up that much. However it is a developmental position. Even if we landed the very top NT you probably wouldn’t expect them to really contribute until their redshirt sophomore season.
From what I understand Roberts fronts do a lot of slant and twist stuff. That may be why we are giving up big runs until everyone figures out gap assignments. But it’s just my opinion in slant defenses seems like the DL gets banged up more often then straight gap schemes. I’m probably wrong on that but seems that way to me

I’ve noticed over the years that the Beer Bread players have the right mixture of yeast to do well at NT.

My phone autocorrect some of the weirdest shite. Makes it read like I’m dyslexic or something. You luckily caught it before I edited it but usually I’m like f it I ain’t correcting a typo

If I do highlight it, it's all in fun and not meant maliciously. We all make arrows, well, everyone but me of course.

According to Rivals this puts us 15th nationally, 7th in conference with only two 3*s Nicolas & Collins

I heard Phat looked really good last night.

Phat looks like an SEC back already, have heard he has some work to do in the classroom though.

From the clips Cole Pinkston posted, he struggled hitting the hole in short yardage situations but was great on stretch plays where he was waiting on a hole and then making one cut.

Phat is a good back. Not as physical as you would expect a big back which may be a good thing as a young player. He has good evasiveness but is easier to tackle than expected.
He will learn how to use that big body. That’s the easy part.

He had better top end speed than I expected for his size. He looked huge out there.

He’s probably playing 6’1” 240ish it looks like. As a freshman I expect them to get him to 6’1” 220-225

Back to Nicolas just watched some of his film. Very raw. Extremely strong and has the want to to make plays. Exactly what you want from a NT. Strong lower half and desire
