I'm not sure of the strategic value of an immunity motion at this point. I would be very reluctant to put my own client on the stand to set his version of events in stone when the state's star witness has not made a formal statement or conducted a recorded interview giving a detailed account of his version of events. Tuscaloosa PD's handling of this case has been fricking atrocious.

If prosecutor can't produce the witness, then the defense can pull immunity card and likely will be granted. It really depends on what DA is doing.

Given Davis filing for youthful offender, I would think DA dropped the ball on that
