He's charged with capital murder. That charge requires a specific set of special circumstances, most of which are an additional felony.

He shot into an occupied vehicle...a felony in Alabama. A murder that occurs while in process of another felony crime gets you CM.

What about your other loved ones? I'm sure they would rather see you walking around free?

The reason people are like they are is because their crimes are treated lightly. Pedophiles get limited time and are set free. People need to be shown that there are consequences for their actions. That they aren't going to get to stay in prison for 20 years nice and comfy while the person they hurt or their family never recovers.

I don't for one second advocate it and your odds are not good, but sometimes juries and/or the courts endorse vigilante justice.

One or both shot into the car....it's a capital murder...don't think there is much of a choice.

Yep, that's a qualifying circumstance. Is that confirmed? I've seen one report that said it happened in an apartment and others in a car.
He'll have his preliminary hearing in 72 hours or less. Unless he waives it we'll get more details at that time.

I don't know that he was the one that did the shooting...I used He loosely. However if you're familiar with the criminal justice system you know he doesn't have to be the one who fired the shot.
I'm sure he'll waive most do.

No one being held without bond waives a preliminary hearing.

From the Tuscaloosa News

Capt. Jack Kennedy, commander of the Tuscaloosa Violent Crimes Unit, didn’t say Sunday who they believe pulled the trigger, but did say both suspects are being charged because their actions led to Harris’ death.

Not necessarily, often times you waive the probable cause side of it and go straight into bond arguments.

See I'm the exact opposite. I think the death penalty is MORE warranted in such a situation.

If only there was some political system that you could participate in, electing folks who hold similar views.

One of the most common stories in sports. Everyone knows some athlete who threw it all away in one way or another. Not all involve murder.
