This, this and this. And when that next job comes open he really wants and they want him, just do it behind the scenes, announce it and get it over with. Don't drag us down with the process.

It was purely NIL. Ole Miss could've signed Reed if we wanted to.

I still have not seen any actual evidence that Lane wanted the job or that Auburn offered it to him. I certainly do not see any evidence that Lane did anything at all in the open with respect to the hiring process. Maybe he wanted the job and maybe they wanted him; who knows. What he failed at was quashing the rumors at a very critical time. He should have at least done the Saban coach speak "I am the coach at Ole Miss and have not spoken to anyone at Auburn." Hopefully he learned a lesson.
