Getting some reports of some college coaches working through third parties to try and get some Mississippi State football players to enter the transfer portal. If you’re doing this, then you are a disgusting human being. If I get evidence to support this, I will make you famous.

There's no correlation between what he's trying to correlate. It's portal season. Mike Leach's death has nothing to do with it.
If you don't believe that try telling that to the player that just left.
He's trying to guilt players into staying.
You're a reporter. A player's decision to leave is none of your fuc.king business.
You can report on it sure. But Steve Robertson is trying to be A PART of the decision.
