I’ve only seen him on tv a couple of times but when I used to read tardville he was basically a shill for the current coach until the media got the green light to turn on that coach. That article seems pretty standard for him. I’m sure you could find similar articles defending Bert and chode. Very much a sacred cow at tardville.

No one forgot those losses. Because of those losses, another disappointing season next year means Sam’s seat warms up.
But as of today, looking at at the totality of his work and where it seems he has the program heading, he’s not on the hot seat. And his bowl game coaching job was fantastic.

I don’t want Scherer to go.
The LB corps was our best positional unit on defense this year, and he’s done a good job of developing Paul.
Plus, last year he did a good job with Henry, Pool, and Morgan, which isn’t an overly athletic bunch and essentially 3 guys who had or have zero NFL prospects.
I’d argue he’s been our best and most consistent defensive assistant under Pittman.

Hard to say if the linebackers were good or if it’s just a linebacker friendly system for racking up tackles. Regardless it was a super ineffective defense, injuries or not.
I’m fine with cleaning house after three straight years of terrible defense and another terrible showing against Kansas. Let the new guy bring his people in.
I’m also good not having Team Mizzou dudes on staff anymore.

Jordan Domineck has reversed course and has now entered the transfer portal. Clearly someone bought him so now we wait to see who it was.

The recent developments with Domineck and Grier have been extremely weird.
Both were committed for next year, then one portals and the other reopens his recruitment.
Just odd.
