Was discussed today on hooked on Auburn.

The thought was that it was foregone that he was coming to Auburn.

But you know the longer this takes the tougher it is for him to stay at Ole Miss. if he wanted to. It is definitely impacting their recruiting, their ability to openly court a replacement, etc. His relationship with all parties associated with the school.

My point is, if he stays he certainly has created a tough atmosphere to continue to be an effective coach there. In terms of negotiation, at this point he does not hold all the cards like he did a few short weeks ago.

If he’s coming, he’s already agreed to a contract. No need for more negotiations.

And I think he’s definitely coming.

Everything. His team isn’t distracted for no reason at all. He would’ve already put the distraction to bed.

I just heard a clip on JOX of him after the game.

Some guy asked him about being our #1 target. His response was “Maybe they don’t even want me after watching that first half.”

That’s not very much of a deflection.

If Sexton says we're in a bidding war so wait.

You say, "Yes sir and wait'.

Feldman says 75% chance of Kiffin to Auburn.

He says coaches cannot win in Ole Miss. I like those odds

Oh I think he's coming and has verbally agreed on a number.

National signing day is gonna be tiiiggght timeline. He will be working the portal hard. Our team may look like the ole Washington Redskins (can I still say that if its historical), under George Allen. He always traded for guys that had one good year left, so he had to do it every year and the average age of the team was about 45

Guys like Billy Kilmer, they asked one of his teammates if Billy stayed out too late drinking before games and he said I can tell by his breath in the huddle if he was on a scotch or bourbon night.

He's announced as Auburn's head coach sometime between the egg bowl and Sunday and Quinshon Judkins enters the transfer portal.
The early Christmas season starts off with a bang.

It’s a sign he’s going to Auburn. If he was staying at Ole Miss he’d have signed the extension by now.

Judkins, Cowboy, and Alston. What a backfield.

My take is the new contract has a much larger buyout and Kiffin/Sexton want to either be able to continue squeezing more money out of OM or/and also keep Kiffin's options open the next couple of years.

I just have a bad feeling about breaking the bank for Kiffin.. Like a 1-3 vs. bammer and dwags after year 4 bad feeling. I have nothing but a shitty gut feeling to back that up.

Unless he wants Auburn more than money he will negotiate to the last second. If Ole Miss offered again it has to be more than what Auburn currently has or it would be pointless.

Put simply, he’s probably the best coach truly on the market without serious baggage, and he’d be easily the most qualified coach we’ve ever hired. I definitely understand concerns but the program building job at FAU and Ole Miss, and the well established and respected offensive mind are very real building blocks. He’s not a guarantee to make us all happy but he would be an A hire.

Am I the only one who finds it funny the coaching search already has six pages on the Ole Miss board?

Is it really program building or resume building when you job hop, (leaving shite in your nest at Tenner and Raiders and a nuclear fallout at USC)?
