Lovetts big plays against SC were well designed plays.

His catch on the left side, he crossed with the outside receiver making the DBs switch assignments. That moment of hesitation was all Lovett needed as he created separation.

His catch on the right was a perfect and I mean perfect pick play. It was no contact and the picking WR never broke stride or even acknowledged he was running in front of the defender. That slight interference again was all Lovett needed to create separation.

What this means us they do indeed practice actual routes. But in games it seems Drink doesn't think they can execute. At 1 point 3 receivers ran straight down the field side by side just different depths. It's weird and confusing.

That is why the need to hire an OC next season.
