GOAT’s defense gave up 52 points. His defensive backfield broke down several times , leading to long touchdowns. He can still coach technique better than anyone in the game , but his scheme just doesn’t work against modern offenses with an athletic QB. It never has.

Golding was schooled and that was the difference in the game.

Left his safeties out to die in man coverage on a slot guy with speed.

There are two SEC level CBs he could’ve subbed in, one of whom might be the best man cover guy in the nation. You yank Hellams, insert Ricks, shift KoolAid to the slot and that is a 14 point victory.

Some people would’ve learned after 2 TD, Pete never figured it out after 5.

Does not work against non-modern offenses either. Ask Jimbo.

bullshite. His scheme is fine. He needs to put a third corner on the field to cover the slot receiver instead of a safety. Problem solved. Also, I believe that's a Golding issue, not a Saban issue. Yes, Saban is ultimately responsible, but I bet you the change is coming. Saban has always been willing to change and adapt. That's why he's the GOAT.
