Jamey Chadwell at coastal Carolina but stay away from him. Starkvegas needs him

Did you miss the last part of his section on Lane, or just in your feelings?
He's lashing out bc he knows that even if it's not Auburn, and even if it's not this year, it's only a matter of time before Lane dumps Ole Miss for greener pastures. He's just using them as rehab, and it burns him up inside

Downvoted for the aggressive meme. Lane ain't going no where. This is a different time/environment than the years of the pinebox guy.

You’ll get Cadillac Williams and like it.

Comrade Muschamp will be announced as the next Auburn coach on Dec. 7, 2022. However the UGA politburo will allow him to maintain his house on Lake Oconee in preparation for his return home and end of mission in October 2025.

I think Deion would be open to retaining him as RB coach

That's why it's even more pathetic that you still can't get over Bruce and Auburn absolutely thrashing Kansas. It was only the sweet 16 man, move on with your life

How are Deion at Jackson State, or the OC of Baylor out of Auburn's league?
Deion isn't gonna just leave for a bigger check. He's tied himself to that program for at least a few years as he signed on for reasons other than monetary. Going to a cow college in bumfrick Alabama would sour his reputation, and plenty of people(ESPN, Barstool) seem to be willing to feed enough money into JSU to keep this project going. Plus I don't think he's at the level you want at Auburn. He needs to show more to convince me he'd be capable of handling such a dysfunctional program. Plus you'd never get that many power players to agree on hiring him and that would cause problems. He'd be a disaster at Auburn, and most of it wouldn't be his fault.
This whole list is weird. What Auburn needs more than a new coach is a stable AD and the boosters under control.

Yep Tuberville is so similar to Kiffin and Auburn is at the point it was decades ago. Dude you are in denial. Your Boosters and Board of Visitors are so toxic that a middling JUCO Coach with a full frontal lobotomy wouldn’t move to the Plains. Get over yourself

One thing on Deion is, he will look like a giant hypocrite to every family he ever recruits at if he leaves Jackson State. His whole spiel is based on raising up HBCU football, not using it to raise up himself.
This was my first thought as well. It would be terrible PR for Deion based on the stances he’s taken recently.
Also, from an AU standpoint, I would avoid that if at all possible. I could absolutely see Deion publicly gloating about turning down an SEC school and the money that comes with it for an HBCU. I’m not sure he’s a good enough coach to warrant a potentially embarrassing situation for the AD either. Too many negative variables to make that call if I’m the AU AD, IMO.

1. Deion Sanders, Jackson State

As if Auburn needs any more publicity. Will you all ever learn?
A "recruiting home run"? Yeah, more like a foul ball over the bleachers!
Dave Aranda would be the best pick of the bunch you listed.

Why would Stoops or Kiffin make a lateral move in the same conference?

This is a very valid point.

2. Dave Aranda, Baylor
Not making a career decision that is essentially a step down from his current job.

3. Lane Kiffin, Ole Miss
He’s seen first hand the lunacy of the barn fanbase. Nope.
quote:
4. Mark Stoops, Kentucky
He’s enjoyed stability at Kentucky and has built something because of that stability. At auburn he’d lose all of that stability. Nope.

5. Jeff Grimes, OC Baylor
Waiting for something bigger.

1. Hugh Freeze., POS 2. Urban Meyer, washed up POS 3. Will Muschamp, sucks 4. Dan Mullen, sucks 5. Kevin Steele, any legitimacy this hire would've had 2 years ago is gone now
None of them are even considering barn.

at the BEST of times it would be a lateral move, but lately? HUGE step backward, like jumping off a cliff

Lots of fear in this thread of Auburn with a real coach, and surprise surprise it's mostly coming from fans of teams that still lost to Harsin last year anyway

No one is scared of barn. People are rightfully concerned for the career of the next guy who takes the job at auburn. Barn wants to be bama, and it’s just not going to happen. Outside of having a once in a generation player, and then unbelievable luck, barn is nothing. I would have thought by now y’all would have realized who you are, but it appears you haven’t. You are going to end up firing Harsin, then you’ll hire your next coach and after not being saban he’ll be fired after two years. Coaches see this and know that there is no chance at stability there.
