You’re wrong. Flat wrong. Just admit you do t know what you’re talking about.

The player was ruled out of bounds. So clock stopped. It was the reviewed and over turned. LSU got a first down and in college, the clock stops to move the chains. The clock would then start on the ready.

Assuming LSU was ready to snap it on the whistle, they indeed could have snapped it with 1 second left.

FSU called a timeout after this, so it was rendered useless anyway. But it was NOT an untimed down.

You’re absolutely incorrect on this and you’re out of your league challenging me about it.

I'm not wrong. The refs claimed LSU would get one play - they don't have the authority to hike the ball with a live game clock for LSU. They gave LSU an untimed down

Interesting debate about timing at end of game, but Big 12 Crew did make it up when declaring LSU gets 1 play - 2 Things: 1. Problem in 2019 Iron Bowl was clock was “running/not stopped” when timing was checked - can’t get off a play w just 1 sec left b/c all offensive players must be set for 1 sec AFTER Ref signals, so it was then impossible by rule for AU to get off play; 2. Last Night: Here is text of 2020 Rule Change after 2019 Iron Bowl:: “Instant Replay / Clock Adjustment – Rule 12-3-6 If the clock expires at the end of a half, and replay determines that there was time remaining on the clock, and the clock would start on the Referee’s signal after review, there must be at least 3 seconds remaining when the ball should have been declared dead to restore time to the clock. With 2 seconds or 1 second remaining on the clock, the half is over. This change will not impact situations when the clock is stopped [for situations like incomplete passes or runner going out of bounds].” The replay indicated ball should have been marked down inbounds and ready for play after resetting chains w 2 seconds on clock - but above rule (“with 2 seconds or 1 second remaining on the clock, the half is over”) indicates LSU should not have been given a play. Even if this 2020 Rule were not in place - Big12 Crew made up “LSU gets 1 play” and, at best for LSU, they had to scramble around, try to get set after Ref signal, and not been given time to calmly line up and run play.
