New hire for the SEC Network, Takeo Spikes....wow

I'm listening to an interview with Takeo and its not at all what I expected. This is an outstanding hire to replace Chizik. The guy speaks clearly and at a pace that I can understand( I'm hard of hearing) and you can tell that this guy is very intelligent. You can hear the excitement in his voice as he discussed SEC football and there is no doubt that he knows it well. His background is hard to argue with

Booger and the guy that played basketball at Arkansas that has the worst Brooklyn accent on earth are the only two bad hires they’ve made so far

Takeo Spikes was a monster back in the day. Played in the NFL forever too. I’d imagine he’ll add a lot in terms of on the field analysis, as opposed to the off the field chatter that’s so common on SECN and other ESPN networks.

It sounds like he’s playing it up. Like he’s trying to audition for a 1970s gangster movie. He also wears more makeup than any man should

Huge Spikes fan. He knows what he's talking about and he is a very effective communicator. This is an outstanding hire.

Screw this. I wish the Dolphins would sign him. I don't care how old he is. Dude's a warrior. When it's nut-cutting time in the 4th quarter I know he won't quit even if he's 100 years old. Can't say that about too many Dolphins over the last 20 years.

I have NO problem with Spikes, but I hate to see Gene Chizik leave. Imo, he was the best on in-station analysis.

Ran into him at Lucky Fest in Atlanta many years ago. Dude is straight up intimidating as hell. Beast.
