In that case no transfers, you sign an employment contract and pay taxes on it and schools hire GM,s to trade and you can't say no to what school you go to...how's that
Edit: also no more schollys you pay your way and pay for food like pros do..

Not for SEC and BIG schools. Its closer to the 25% to 30% range.
The breakdown I saw was across the board so maybe right for the bigger schools but overall not the main source as some like to believe as so many other factors come into to play.

Unions are a good thing
I don't know how you collectively bargain with cfb players who are 3 and done or able to flunk out of school however

Yes no more scholarships but tuition and other related expenses will be part of the benefit package.
Sort of like when a camp counselor works all summer. Part of their pay covers their room and board as well with any other expenses. It just comes out of their check without ever seeing it. When I first got our of Corps I was a river guide for a rafting company. My checks were not great once everything was taken out but everything was covered so basically all went to savings.

I will disagree in general they have not been successful. Hence why the rust belt, NE and NW have lost so many jobs to the south and other Right to Work states. They do not support free enterprise but establish a status quo of entitlement for anyone in them regardless of their contribution to the whole.

I agree with the failed relationship Gamecock for once.
I’m not sure why the posters here hate the laws of this land which allow for groups of people to bargain as a collective in their own interests.
I personally love America.

Penn State has now become the first chapter of unionized football players in the nation.
Led by quarterback Sean Clifford, Penn State players are asking for revenue sharing and want better medical care.
The tweet adds that The College Football Players Association is already in negotiations with the Big Ten.
Stick a fork in college football...it's done! LINK
You have to be employees to unionize.
NIL doesn't make them employees of the schools.
Pretty sure this got shot down already.

I understand wanting more to match the revenue they are creating for the university and everything it comes with but man…the things I would’ve done and sacrificed to have the opportunity to play big time football.
I’m afraid if players want to be considered employees, they’re greatly underestimating the negatives that come with being considered an employee. There’s no scenario where players are gonna be able to make millions off of NIL, a salary from the school, free healthcare for life, free meal/housing, free gear/clothes and not have some skin in the game.

At this point it may be better to let it burn and start over.

The thing is, the players don't really create that revenue. You could take the top5000 or whatever players each year, put them in a supplemental league separate from college football, and college football would not miss a beat.
Because the actual draw is the schools themselves. The players are the ones who benefit from these things tremendously. People are fans of the teams, regardless of who plays for them.
This is proven time and time again when other leagues are constantly trying to form, but can't get the fans. When they do form, they pay the players very little money, don't provide the coaching, or anything remotely close to what is provided in college football. Because there is no real market for them.
There is some value in terms of competitiveness, and some teams getting better players overall. But again, take out the top5000 players, and the 5001st player is just the new "5 star".
At any rate, the schools don't actually make profit. All the revenue goes back into sports.

Which part of America? The 28 Right to Work states that have laws preventing the abuse of power that labor unions yield or the 22 states that allow unions to dictate how a business works and who gets the profit?
For the record every state that has an SEC school in it is also a Right to Work state.

There’s a reason NFLPA still hasn’t been able to get their players lifetime health care. The insurance companies will fight it and it’s expensive as frick. Not sure what else these college players expect they’re going to get.

Actually Right to Work literally means given the choice. Right to Work allows the worker to decide if they want to be a part of a union or not.
Since you want to make this political I would say in the 22 union supported states it takes on more of the role of communism, CWP to be more exact, where the worker does not have the choice. In Union controlled states the worker does not have a choice to be a part of the union or not. Union membership can be a condition of employment to be hired.
Even in the Right the Work states unions exist but the worker decides if they want to be in one or not.
No matter what your political ideology is I think free choice is always the best option.
Though I understand how the left believes someone else should pick for them just like everything should be given to them as well.

I was told the good thing about an insurance driven system was that you can choose your doctor (which we all know is only true if you have good insurance). Maybe their insurance sucks?
