Miami is also spending the most in nil, but just remember there will be re ranks when their senior season starts, half the top 50 will drop, half will rise, but I do agree regardless, those schools are getting good talent early, I only say this bc the ranking will be updated like ten times by signing day on every service
Since covid began staffs are having to rely more and more on evaluations done by themselves. I think they primarily relied on those before, but it seems to be coming to the forefront now.
Alabama and some of the other top teams have always done a very good job of evaluations......Auburn has too in the past.

Auburn’s recruiting sure has sucked since Milton McGregor died.

Alabama again with the highest per player avg on 247. Auburn last in the conference down around 68

Now that everyone is allowed to pay players they have no advantage….

Even if that were true, explain why there are four and five star players on Alabama side line Every single year that may never have the opportunity to place a foot on the field of play. Sabin gets the players that he needs, and more often than not the ones that he wants every year to make a run for a Natty.

Alabama notched a big win on the recruiting trail Monday when Snellville (Ga.) Brookwood four-star quarterback Dylan Lonergan committed to the Crimson Tide. Lonergan’s pledge moved Alabama up to No. 3 in the 2023 On3 Consensus Team Recruiting Rankings. The Crimson Tide’s class is currently No. 1 in the SEC.
Oof.

I realize the average per player is very good, but with just 12 commits I don't think Alabama yet has the 3rd ranked class. Of course, at this time of year that changes often, sometimes daily. The average per player, though, is very encouraging that we'll end with a very good class.
edit to say that posters like Stidham are just ignorant trolls. He's bitter because his team is last in the conference. Also, there is a recruiting board.

They don't look to be close to be in the running for the #1 class this year.

Barners and corn dogs getting their hopes up like every year, only to see Saban dominate them yet again.

Remember that time you made multiple threads about Rutgers having a better recruiting class than Alabama and Alabama went on to sign the highest rated class in history?
Good times.
Exactly. People worried or bragging about recruiting rankings in July is stupid.

Bama could recruit under the table. That under the table money is small in comparison to NIL money and Saban knows Bama will not be able to keep up longterm. That is why he is complaining.

July….. rankings matter in December.
That’s why no UT fan is talking up this class yet.

Sure, sure. Just like when ol Gus was using illegal men down field and trying to cheat a win using HUNH. How'd that work out for us? And how'd that work out for you?

In a year where the in-state talent is unprecedented and one of the two big time programs (AU) isn't able to pull their share of that talent?
