The ACC is basically an upgraded east coast version of the new Big 12 with only 2 flagship state universities and very few meaningful football rivalries. It also can't be split geographically in a way that is competitively balanced. So pods make total sense for them. I still think the SEC works best in east/west divisions and an expanded 9 game conference schedule with no permanent cross-division opponent (no need anymore).

1. UGA - Definitely the biggest SEC game for South Carolina fans. There are also a ton of UGA fans along the Georgia-South Carolina border that would be upset if this wasn't an annual game anymore.
