Had to stop through for the night. Haven’t been through since 2009 and haven’t been back to Baton Rouge since 2016. Nice place you got here

No offense, but I don’t think it’s anything like Baton Rouge.

Someone pulled a gun but didn't shoot?

Only difference is they don’t marry their sisters in Baton Rouge !!

Downtown is basically unrecognizable from the mid-late 2000s. The rest of the city is still pretty forgettable, but the campus/downtown corridor is really nice and well done now.

Yeah in baton rouge they just shoot each other and teach their kids to flip adults who root for the opposing team the bird

Have you been to Tuscaloosa? It is a shite town except for the areas frequented by the business that comes from having a large university.

LSU isn't really known for shooting each other after a loss (and in many documented cases, a win).

But BR and Tuscaloosa have zero in common other than an SEC school. Now if you took LSU's campus and dropped it on the Bunkie exit off i49 then I'd say it would be pretty similar.

You mean...when they get ready to rob you, they politely ask if they can have your money first and then shoot you?

6-7 and record homicides last year... I'm not saying correlation = causation, but I'm suspicious here.

I always enjoy getting drunk and eating breakfast at Another Broken Egg by the river the next morning when we visit T Town.

Let’s be fair. Tuscaloosa and Baton Rouge are different but both are good in their own way.
A big swath of Tuscaloosa is new due to a tornado several years ago. Some of Tuscaloosa is a historic section dating back to the Civil War and before. The people are always friendly and practice Southern Hospitality. The Mayor has served for several terms being elected at a rather young age and has brought Tuscaloosa a long way.
Baton Rouge is a beautiful town with beautiful, friendly people. Every time I have been there they have been most gracious and WONDERFUL cooks. I love going to Baton Rouge.

I've been to Knoxville a bunch and it seems to be an okay city. Not as boring as Gainesville.
