You are the one advocating for the mess. Reasonable people are trying to tell you that you don’t hire quality football coaches in March but yet you insist on doing so. Firing a guy without cause just because YOU don’t like him is equally retarded but you are absolutely convinced it’s going to fix recruiting and winning. It’s not going to fix coaching turnover either when you fire the bum in 3 years. You have a very narrow and reactionary view to big time college football coaching. You want to go nuclear on the program because we signed the number 18 class in the country.

Furthermore we appear to have boosters and beat writers just as reactionary as you or they wouldn’t be out here spreading gossip and printing dumbass articles like firing is imminent when they really don’t know anything apparently

The bigger issue is that the auburn administration, beat writers, and boosters have already gone nuclear.

This week long saga of rumors and running Harsin into the ground only sets him up as a lame duck coaching staff set for failure.

You think this administration will agree to longer contracts with the current guys?

What about the incoming OC?

Good luck convincing recruits to come to your school amidst this instability and uncertainty.

Also, you think this will prevent guys from looking for an out for another job?

We will spend next year hearing about folks interviewing other places while the season is ongoing.

The damage is done. Rip the band-aid off. These beat writers should air out everything to bring the house of cards down - the boosters/admin need to be outed

Damaging Harsin was the goal and to force the school into a no win situation but one where retaining Harsin would be just as detrimental as keeping him.

They succeeded in my opinion. I just don’t see how Harsin can remain now. It’s a major mess.
