Louisiana native, Joe Foucha. Heartbreaking loss for my Hogs. Word is maybe another 4 year starter is on the way out with him.

He might be LSU bound. Feel like it’s a different situation than Woods. Woods’ was just dumb. Apparently he and others don’t like our DB coach, Sam Carter.

Yeah I saw Devin Bush and Greg Brooks also transferring, all Louisiana kids in the secondary.
Dont think LSU would be interested in Bush but Brooks and Foucha are for sure takes.

Probably wants a change of scenery. Not quite good enough for the NFL, but ready to leave Arkansas.
I'd go to Los Angeles or Miami to spend my last year of college.

Hope he comes to LSU. Still, I don't like to hear this, because it's destroying the college game. Transfer portal and NIL are the worse things ever.

Agree here! It's terrible for the game! And look, I don't dislike both the portal and NIL, but damn, they're going to have to regulate both big time!

Here's my assumption for every transfer:
If they havent played much at current school, they are probably transferring trying to find playing time
If they have started at the current school, they are probably transferring for NIL reasons (or coaching changes)
I think this would cover most explanations for kids in the portal who have either not played or started at the schools they are leaving. Obviously some exceptions to all that, but thats gotta be the major reasons why for each.

Apparently he was telling teammates he planned on transferring to LSU for a while.
Honestly a bit surprised if he’s a take for LSU, he’s an above average player but if I were using one of my 7 transfer spots I would rather it be on a guy like Catalon who is a massive upgrade. But I guess there aren’t many guys like that in the portal except maybe the ones from Northwestern and Iowa State.

I believe the 7 player transfer limit is in addition to your 25 initial counters. I doubt we get to 25 in the recruiting class, and we are well below 85 scholarship players. So my interpretation is LSU can bring in 32 new players, but it could be like 12 transfers and 20 high schoolers.
Either way, lsu needs bodies in the defensive backfield badly. Even if he’s just an average player (idk much about him) he has a great shot to play significant snaps next season

Transfer portal rules max the number of incoming players at 7 yearly. What I do not know is if you can back count them like you can signees.

The articles I’ve read say you can sign 25 initial counters (either high school or transfers), plus the 7 additional transfer max, as long as 7 players have transferred out. So there is a 7 transfer cap in addition to any transfers that you use to get to the 25 initial counter max.
I’m sure a lot of schools use the 25 initial counters on high schoolers. But due to coaching staff turnover during recruiting heavy season, LSU probably won’t.
