So you tell me, what is Harsin’s peak?
Beats me. You don’t know either. Dye and Tubs were 5-6 in their first years and they did OK. Even our shittiest coaches managed to win the SEC or go undefeated. If Harsin doesn’t do that he will be replaced in a few years. End of story.

Fair. But I’m not trolling when I say I would rather have a Gus coached team with one of the best defensive coordinators in the country and saved a whole lot of money than hire Harsin and hope he has a high ceiling.

No one is saying y’all didn’t want him fired. I’m saying in hindsight, doesn’t it look like y’all should have kept Gus rather than financing an extremely expensive transition from Gus to Harsin. Harsin is very underwhelming.
That’s the same thing lol.
Harsin is doing a good job. He had us in contention to win every game with one of the least talented recruited teams we’ve had in a long time. He closed extremely well in recruiting and numerous guys have announced they’re returning for next season.
It’s being kept under wraps but we’re going after a transfer QB as well.

I’m not judging any coaches on their first year. If we did Terry Bowden and Gus would have statues in front of Jordan Hare

It’s not my money. If some millionaires want to make a change then so be it. I’m glad they did in this case. Malzahn didn’t have any more tricks in his bag

Butt munch? Are you 11 years old? I mean in reality, clearly you are there or lower mentally. Just look at the pathetic fricking name you chose

Uat and other rival SEC posters wishing Gus was still at Auburn confirms his mediocre arse needed to be fired. You’re talking about Harsin because of his first season? I guess uat should’ve fired Saban his first year after going 6-6 and losing to ULM?

Perhaps. I just posed a hypothetical question that only a few of you have answered directly.

That question has been asked a lot and I feel like with exception of a few auburn posters here we’ve been pretty clear that it was time for Gus to go, whether Harsin is successful or is not.
Gus generally ran a good, clean, stable program, but there were some major holes in his system, particularly failures to recruit and prepare offensive linemen and to develop 4* + QBs.
Gus flat out has said that he wouldn’t consider changing his offense or even making an attempt to learn from other coaches. That’s unacceptable.

I’m pretty sure Auburn won’t be consulting with Bama fans about coaching decisions.

No. It was time for a change.

And secondly, since when do you think the prime objective of AU or any other SEC program is to 'save a whole lot of money'?

They were winning their usual 6 games per season weren’t they?
Auburn is a historical 4 loss program with a 10 win season once ever 4 years or so.
