Never been sanctioned for recruiting infractions. Might be the only Power 5 school that can say that.

No Penn State fans stuck up for Sandusky and it's ridiculous to blame any Penn State fans for his crimes.

John Cappelletti is all I got.

So far, they haven’t molested anyone this year. That we know of. Probably.

It is a pretty drive to get to there

Franklin seems to really have the Nittany Lions rolling for about 3 quarters.

They molested Auburn earlier this year. They were the first to diddle Harsin's soft underbelly.

They beat UGA in a national title game.

None? So Paterno wasn't a fan?
Making the distinction that PSU fans didn't stick up for him is ludicrous. Of course they didn't after a mountain of ignored evidence came crashing down.

No they aren’t. Went to the Penn State game this year. Place doesn’t hold a candle to Miss States stadium

they are loyal to pedophiles; is that good?

According to them their alumni association is the largest in US. I have no reason to doubt that. I work with six PSU alum, all good people.

No they weren't. They sit down at games.

Yeah, that's simply not true. There was a mountain of evidence as soon as it came out. While the PA Attorney General was talking about the horrors committed by Sandusky, he also praised Paterno how he handled the whole situation.
Either way, the basic evidence was there from the beginning, and fans did not support Sandusky. Paterno is a different story. He was told a watered down story, and he reported it to his superiors. That also came out early, and many fans (not all) supported Paterno.
After all that and years of progress regarding sexual assault, the current rules right now say for a coach to do exactly what Paterno did.
Also, for that one kid that the watered down story was told to Paterno, those charges were the only ones for which Sandusky was found not guilty. So it's not clear of that any assault that particular day actually happened.
The media jumped on Paterno because he's the bigger story, and a lot of stuff was published that simply was not true and there was no evidence behind it. There's a reason the NCAA took all of the punishments back.

I agree with you MedDawg. Horrible situation that I think wrongly tarnished a good man.
I guess we'll never know for sure.
