Said this a bunch already and will say it again. He was accused of racism by former coach and former players. That is something that has to be throroughly investigated. Does anyone not agree with that. There would be a total shitstorm worse than that if we just brushed it off and the media found out about it, which they would. It was just a crappy situation. My only fault with PTB is that they didn't pull the trigger, but its there money not mine.

Just so we're clear, we're basing our opinion of Harsin's NIL approach on this specific quote: "A source also said Harsin hated the concept of name, image and likeness and made that clear to players. Harsin was particularly critical of players from low-income families who received money from NIL deals because he thought they lost their focus on football, one source added"

Sure that source could be wrong so I’ll take back that last statement. However as metafour said, NLI kinda contradicts the boise way.

These assholes thought they could bully Harsin into quitting. They have mud on their faces.

It just doesn’t matter anymore.

They’ll just fire him in 8 months and we’ll have the 80th ranked recruiting class.

No I mean of him posting the photos of Harsin in players houses with the recruiting finger photos

Yea this is absolutely true, but a lot of sources suddenly started popping up after the investigation. I have no idea who it was, and I’m not saying the boosters said anything. But my point more so is that this could have been handled waaaaaay more discreetly ESPECIALLY considering apparently nothing popped up. We took all of the bad press for literally no reason.

At this point we should fire Harsin (but wait till November so we can actually get a good candidate imo) because the way this has gone down has put us in a corner where we will either fire him for sucking or he will leave for how this went down.

Deas period ended January 13th. He didn’t hit the road until the 24th.

You don’t remember Gus’s jammed pick recruiting schedules before NSD? He and his staff were visiting recruits and next year’s croots from dawn to dust.

He was duck hunting in Arkansas with Tuberville...

Seriously, he did NOT take recruiting as seriously as our rivals. Even his dad on Fbaum confirmed that.

Now, I do think he realizes his ways are not going to work in the SEC. Does he change and start recruiting and hiring and retaining recruiters. Does he let the Boosters do their NIL deals and get us some ball players.. Hopefully.

You think we're fricked because of a quote that didn't even come directly from our coach, and is without context, but actually expresses a legitimate concern - that people who have been poor their whole lives will be distracted by NIL deals and having money?

Why are we resigned to thinking that those two are mutually exclusive?

People run their mouth. That is the world we live in. But, even if you do an outstanding job of keeping this down home, when you are having to talk to as many people as we did, it's going to get out. It just is.

The most blame goes to the media. And as we know, the media covering Auburn is amongst the worst in sports.
If you pay for a subscription to the Phillip Marshall site, I will say you are basically retarded. Fact. That guy is and has always been a cancer on Auburn.

College players who don't come from money have been getting paid for years and years. Now it's basically legal and we have a coach who might get annoyed with a player for taking money above board.

No we don't.

We have a coach who would get annoyed when players get distracted by things other than football.

(again, all based on an out of context, speculative quote from a random anonymous source)

We are delaying the inevitable. He will be fired in December or January, I would assume.

People are saying you can expect Caddy and Zac to leave now, plus more transfers.

We definitely won’t have a full roster come September.

Auburn, once again, just won’t have a good team in 2022. The roster just isn’t set up to compete. The issues we had in 2021 haven’t been addressed.

Who? The guy who has been successfully playing with and coaching young men for the past 20+ years, and has made millions doing so?

Now all of a sudden, he's not a smart man?

Yall all want to have these opinions, but fail to recognize who is actually forming them for you.
