This is hilarious. I don't think anyone has a clue and that is exactly what Jalen wants. Good for him. Unless Jalen has told someone his intentions then anything else is just speculation. Only 13+ hours to wait. 10 more pages to low of a guess on replies before announcement and 10 after?

If you predict every possible scenario, at least one of your predictions will be true.

I'm gonna go out on a limb.

My 100% lock prediction.....

He commits to playing basketball

So tomorrow he could basically

1. Commit
2. Go pro
3. Commit with intentions to go pro baseball style

But if what you said about auburn accepting his commitment is true, a commitment to Auburn would signal he is likely playing college?

What a roller coaster

Issac Okoro and Cooper have both retweeted the announcement in the last hour, thinking things are going our way and i`m far to invested in this.

I think until sometime last week he was set on either auburn or Memphis, and leveraged that into a massive G League offer. Notice it’s called an announcement party

Read this on a another board...but why would a G league team affiliated to an NBA franchise sign a player to a one year $250,000+ deal and develop him when another NBA franchise will probably draft him the next year?

Exactly. And he would have an excellent chance of being 1st pick in 2021. One year of college boosted Okoro to top 5. If he had gone straight from HS or go to G League no way he makes big money and a great contract.
Look at Zion W. Same thing.

But then I calm down and realize this is an 18 year old making the decision. And I’m just a wanna be agent. :)

I didn’t know G league teams were affiliated with pro teams a la minor league baseball.

Completely different situations. Okoro wasn’t even sniffing a lottery pick out of high school. Barring injury or a horrific season Green is a top five pick at worst No matter where he goes, likely somewhere between one and three overall.

I don't know either...but to the OPs point. Would the G-league see a positive return by signing a 1 year 500k kid?

Yes, that's how most of the NBA teams use their two-way players. They'll send them back and fourth between their affiliated teams.

I'm pretty sure that's a new-ish thing. NBA has been pumping a lot of money and resources and time into G-League the past few years. It makes sense with how much more accessible talent there is around the world now, that it could become similar to minor league baseball.
